Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TaawunX mobile application, website (if any), APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Not legal or religious advice. TaawunX provides software tools for community savings and charitable giving. Zakat calculations shown in-app are estimates; consult a qualified scholar for your situation. This is not a bank, broker-dealer, or licensed payment institution unless separately licensed and disclosed.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter a contract in your jurisdiction. You must provide accurate registration information.
2. The Services
- Darets: virtual savings pools for invited or public groups; rules (amounts, cycles, payouts) depend on pool settings and participant behaviour.
- Wallet: in-app ledger of balances and transfers as implemented; settlement timing may depend on partners and banking hours.
- Philanthropy / campaigns: descriptions of causes and progress bars are provided by organizers or the platform for demo purposes; verify independently before large donations.
- Payments: in-app payment flows may integrate third-party gateways (e.g. SATIM-aligned processors). Your relationship with those providers is governed by their terms.
3. Account security
You are responsible for safeguarding your password and device. Notify us at
security@taawunx.app if you suspect unauthorized access (replace with production contact).4. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to: (a) misuse the Services or attempt to circumvent security; (b) use the Services for fraud, money laundering, or illegal purposes; (c) harass other users; (d) scrape or overload our systems; (e) reverse engineer the app except as allowed by law.
5. Fees and taxes
Any fees will be disclosed in-app or in a separate pricing schedule. You are responsible for applicable taxes, levies, and reporting in Algeria or your tax residence.
6. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation. Amounts, interest-free loan labelling, and impact metrics may reflect demo data in non-production environments.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaawunX and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits/data/goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of the Services is limited to the greater of (i) amounts you paid us in fees in the twelve (12) months before the claim or (ii) fifty thousand Algerian dinars (50,000 DZD), unless mandatory law says otherwise.
8. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify TaawunX against third-party claims arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, risk, or legal requirements. You may stop using the Services at any time.
10. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Algeria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country say otherwise. Courts in Algiers (or another venue you designate in a future enterprise agreement) shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to non-waivable rights.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use may constitute acceptance where allowed by law.
